Alrighty, I might take a risk on it and see. After a little research it looks like BYF phosphate trigger guards and floor plates are correct for this example. Bummer about the stock though.Found another that has a laminate stock. Tbh I don't know. Hi Everyone, I'm new to the Kar98k forum, and I have to say I've been extremely impressed with the knowledge of its members, and their willingness to share that encyclopedic knowledge with newbies like me. With that in mind, I thought I'd share a few photos of my grandfather's S block bnz45...
Agreed it is a bummer about that stock. Prices for C&R rifles have fallen it seems across the board so ya might be able to talk the guy down (wish Marine rebuild M1903's had the same trend! But it seems they are not falling in prices)
Did you manage to get it? I debated going more on it, but without being sure, I decided to let it go.
FYI if you post photos of a rifle at auction, it increases the number of people who bid on it and see it - it’s easy to find. That makes it less likely you will win one.
I figured that going into it. But I’d rather have the help of more knowledgeable members than myself to help, and if I lose to one of them, oh well. Atleast I know it’s going to someone who will enjoy and more importantly preserve it.
