Fortunately I have a friend who loves ammo, so attached pictures of the first 6mm Mauser round he made for me, based on 6,5x57 cases!

Very nice! Once they are fireformed, take another picture to compare. Be curious to see what they look like.

They look nearly identical to their later variant 6.5x58. Original on right, fireformed on left.
