Ready for the meeting with my official Form member nametag
I figured it'll be the easiest way for people to tell who is who.
This nametag is a great idea.with your permission I will make a nametag like this myself. I have to leave Friday and will miss the meetup on Friday evening.Maybe this will help us identify each other at the show

I got my nickname here thanks to Mike at the 2016 SOS show. Truth be told. He gave out a lot of nicknames that year.

There's really no reason to get a membership for saturday since it is open to the public, but you are basically getting there on the last real day of the show, with most of the place picked over by then. Depending on how far you travel, Wednesday and Thursday are the only real good days of the show.

Looking at the schedule, it's not even actually open on Wednesday, even to members. Thursday it shows it's only open to members and at noon at that. Almost sounds like exhibitors grab everything worth getting before it even actually opens?

That's what I'm getting at. Move in day on Wednesday is when all the good stuff changes hands. If you aren't a vendor you are a pleb there. Shows from the beginning of shows across all hobbies have always been like as you say, the best stuff changes hands before the doors open. The next best thing you can do is the preview day on Thursday where the public is not allowed.

Friday is open to members and public, members get through the door first, but if you do not have a membership, you have to get in a huge line to buy a membership, THEN get in the line for members (which will likely be the very back at that point). Your best bet is getting there thursday early to buy your membership then getting in the membership line, just know that you and everyone else who didn't get their membership before the show will be in that line.

Yah, I have to work Thursday and my wife wants to go up to Cleveland and visit her parents this weekend so maybe it's for the best. I'll just get myself set up for next year. I've already filled out the application and I'll get it sent off and be ready for next year's SOS. LOL I can still do the other events this year.
