An interesting M40 modified for flight crews. Liner removed, special chinstrap riveted on, sides of helmet hammered out for headphones.

This is awesome! USGI bomber crews did the same to M1's early on before we had the m3/4 series 'flak' helmets. Liner removed then push the sides out to hold comms

Said to be south front, I think I see a Luftwaffe license plate and possibly Luft decal on helmet.

Medics. It looks like photo 2 and photo 4 are showing the same German medic.

War games. Trying to decipher this writing. I think I see Marz (March) 1940 and Lt. Dr. Martens.
Any help appreciated. Possibly Gerasdorf, a town in Austria.

I agree with you on the decal. It does appear to be a Luft eagle.

The first letter or two could be the same as the first letter or two that are on this plate, lol. Can`t tell what they are in your pic, but it doesn`t look like WH.

My understanding is WH = Wehrmacht Heer and WL = Wehrmacht Luftwaffe. It could be WL IMO.

Very nice photo. I would say new recruits being sworn in at their training facility. It looks like barracks in the background. Also it appears that M42 helmets are being worn, so mid 1942 or later IMO.

IMG_0293.jpegLikely late 44 with the saukopf mantlet on the Stug. Here is some more from the group. I have posted these a few years back. IMG_0296.jpegIMG_0294.jpeg
