Well this one was a bit of a local find that I've had for a couple of weeks and I'm just getting it posted now. I have to give credit to Chris and Bruce who tipped me off and had the connections to help make this happen. I greatly appreciate it and couldn't be happier with the rifle! WOK 1915 is something I've had an eye out on for like the past decade. As for the rifle, it's factory matching to include the screws and rod, the only ding is the old school cleaning and clipped/repaired firing pin.

Now that’s something you don’t see everyday! Must be one of the finest to exist. Beautiful weapon. Congratulations!
Edit: it’s typical of the breed, Even one showing such little use, has bluing that looks like it rubbed off as magic marker.

It's definitely top tier and damn tricky to find. Mine is an absolute dog by comparison! The one Cyrus got from Mike might be the belle of the ball though. This one is a damn close second.

Sam, glad things worked out on this one. It know a 1915 had been on your list a long time. It went to a good home. I also know you won't hock it next week to buy the flavor of the month!

I've gotten lucky on WOKs, just need to shake out one more for our good buddy Marc out of my sleeve to complete his maker set and it'll be good! 😎

Excellent score, Sam! Nice to have good documentation of another one that is so original: I added it to the reference.

I love the dark streaks in the wood, such a gorgeous stock.

If Cryus’s is the belle of the ball then this one is very hot sister!

Really incredible condition Gewehr from a tough year/manufacturer to find. Must have spent the war somewhere away from the front.

How many 1915s were produced?
Just under 10k. 9167 is the known high SN. Short story is that it was their first year of production and they significantly underperformed their targets due to some difficulties in getting up and running.

In no way diminishes this rifle; it's a hell of a catch, but here's Cyrus's since it was posted a while back. Absolutely agree that this one is the VERY hot sister. Mine is the ugly stepchild. 🤣

Thanks, Rick! While I appreciate it, IMHO Cyrus’ WOK ‘15 is probably the finest in existence. I’ve had the privilege of seeing it in person and it’s wild!

Thank, Chris! I appreciate the heads up on this one. That and the extra speshul far east rifle.

Thanks, Cyrus! I love them too. Seems to have quite a few mineral veins.

I'm jealous nice score!

Thanks, Alex!

That's a nice one. Congrats on finally snagging a good early WOK!

Thanks, Mike!

Absolutely stunning! Congrats!!

Thank you!

Glad it worked out and happy to help on the purchase!

Thanks, Bruce! I appreciate the help!

Ya…. Really nice piece of wood on that one😎….. Nice rifle.. congrats

Thanks, Jory! The stock is my favorite part about it.

Thanks, Hale!

Damn, that is a stunner of a rifle! That stock has to be one of the nicest walnut Gewehr 98 stocks I've seen, congrats on picking up such a fine WOK Gewehr 98 and to those who helped to bring this one here!

When I initially commented, the picture posts just said "reserved" kinda weird on why it did that. However holy moly!! That is a gorgeous example! The bluing and wood is perfect!! :) a collection highlight for sure just by the condition alone. Excellent score, congrats 🎉
