It's worth whatever a cheap deer rifle costs near you. It's pretty hosed from a collector's standpoint, and even most of the parts aren't worth salvaging. Couple hundred bucks tops.

If you just want to be rid of it I'd just take it to a pawn shop or a gun store and see what you can get. You'll get about 30% of the "real" value, but the real value is low enough that you might as well get your ~$50 and buy some beer.

Alternatively throw a cheap scope on it and use it for target shooting or as a deer gun if you hunt.

Or give it to a kid who's starting to get into hunting/target shooting.
 
Yea, it's pretty much hosed as far as historical value. It could be worth somehting to someone, as a basis for a sniper clone or something. $400 at best, probably going down form there depending on how bad rest of the rifle is.

I don't think you could even get $400 from someone making a sniper clone because of how the bolt has been altered.

Yeah, frankly I think it has more value as a basic deer rifle than as anything to turn into a repro sniper or parts donor etc.

I wasn't kidding with the suggestion to give it to a kid. Stick a really basic, cheap scope on it and use it as kiddo's first target/hunting rifle. Either that or a beater loaner gun for when you have guests over.

Or heck, an OK starting point for some aspiring gunsmith to try their hand making a custom rifle.
