Opinions on this qve45 VOPO K43

I have the opportunity to buy this VOPO K43. From my analysis so far, everything seems to check out but I’m far from being an expert so I’m hoping othered here can verify or correct my observations. Seller is asking $3k which seems fair, but again, would like to hear other opinions.

All parts variations (gas system, bolt/bolt carrier, receiver, etc) seem consistent with late war qve rifles. The stock and hand guard are almost assuredly replacements but that seems typical for VOPO rebuilds. I would theorize the rebuild was done by Germans since this rifle lacks characteristics of captured rifles and Russian rebuilds (I.e. the infamous electropencil). However, it appears they did not renumber all the bolt parts. Perhaps they also did some cosmetic machining to the bolt carrier since it looks almost too good for a type 3. Lastly, the seller told me that it looks like the stock was cut as the flat portion of the butt plate protrudes and does not fit flush against the stock.

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I'd place this gun at the low end of the "mostly correct, mis-matched shooter" range. It appears that maybe some sort of repair may have been done to the stock ehere the crossbolt is located...plus whatever may have been modified where the buttplate is...hard to see from the picture.
Nothing too awful, but nothing very distinguishing either. 3000 is definately too much...2500 tops...being generous. If it were an all-correct matching VOPO, 3000 easily or more.

Appreciate the feedback! For my own experience why do you say it’s “mostly” correct? Would it be the stock or the fact bolt parts are mismatching? Agree the stock definitely has issues, was thinking perhaps I could “correct” it with a replacement if the rifle seemed worth pursuing.

I’ve had this rifle listed twice in my serial number listings. Once in 2016 by a person in Arizona, then in 2021 from a person in Oregon. The 2016 entry has the rifle as “parkerized”. You might look up the k98kforum thread for date 04-07-2016 as that’s where it was posted. The other entry was from gunbroker.

Extremely helpful, thank you! 3k is too much for a rebuilt rifle.
