Legit Dou44 Receiver?

I have the option to buy this all matching K98 dou 44 (bolt matches it too). I have been looking in my reference book by Richard Law and while every marking looks to be correct, I have reservations about where the serial number is. The font is correct, however, it looks like the bluing has worn off right around the serial number or was attempted to be scrubbed off and at the waffenamt too? Am I crazy? Was this rifle worked on? There is no import mark whatsoever. Something just seems off.

Nothing rare with the serial number, just check picture sticky to compare

I agree with trinxet, serial number looks fine. Stock appears to have been worked over to some degree.

It's fine. Post more photos of the rifle if you want to be sure everything else checks out.

I agree with Andy. What you show looks correct to my eyes.

Good looking and correct. That's just the bluing worn off the high edges around the numbers. Same as around the dou on the receiver
