Need input on 2 rifles.

Mike,
I'm a boomer, and no offence taken. I also dont get offended at 'cracker' or 'gringo' either...oh well.
They look to be decent guns, but as stated above, go look at a couple of pic stickies and see what kind of photos are there so you can take appropriate pics that will help folks give you a decent evaluation. There are a lot of intricacies involved in both of these, and if they are completely correct, then I'd say in todays market you didn't get stung too badly. The K98k lookks to be a 'dot' rifle, and if you post up some decent pics, there's plenty of folks here who will weigh in with their expertise.
The site won't let me upload the other pictures especially the K98K. Site says the file is to large when uploading. Probably explains why only those 3 i have uploaded but low resolution.

New uploads. Only allowing 4 at a time. Low resolution unfortunately. Hope they look decent on everyone else's end.

Imo the stock and metal has been cleaned up a bit but over all a handsome looking dot example. Here is my 1944 example.

He'll, why spend $25 buying one out of a barrel at a hardware store when a buddy of mine was given one for free! Even better, it was a mint, all matching duv 44 K43 marked rifle. A rarity.

Agree. Stock looks like it was “cleaned”. Still a pretty nice example. The Czech manufactured k98ks are high quality rifles.

The stock most likely been cleaned up a little bit i agree. The metal hmm idk it has quite a bit of patina on the barrel and other places. Only thing I did was put a light coat of oil on all the metal parts. The only history I got from this K98K was it came from an estate from a collector that had it for 40 years. I used to have several RC mismatch imported K98K's sold them all to aquire 1 matching non import K98K which was this one for 3K and the bore is like 9/10 jumped on it because all honesty it's getting extremely difficult to even find matching ones now. My K98K is also not duffle cut i can't determine if this one is a bring back or one of the ones that came in the 1950s or 1960s before import markings were required.

It's mostly believed that matching rifles are vet bring back. Typically they were shipped home.

I’d want a closer look at the stock, especially on the side of the butt stock and around the takedown disk, before saying its been cleaned. These lighter and more rawly finished late stocks can sometimes be misleading in photos.

I'll see if I can get a picture to upload soon

Nice! Is that a M48 to the right?
What is your wall system(?)
Wish I had picked up an SVT when they were cheap!
I have a yugo M48A its on the right side practically mint.
My wall system is from wall control ? If im not mistaken, bought my wall setup on Amazon.
And yes I paid a good penny for my SVT 40, first time I saw one back in 2005? They were like 600-700 bucks it was out of my budget back then, paid almost 3k for my current SVT

A bunch were likely brought in pre-1968 by importers. A rifle being matching is no guarantee its a bringback.
Definitely truth to that, one is being the India used K98K's believed to be captured by the British from North Africa and used as MP rifles.
