I am bewildered by these "milled receiver" guns. The conventional wisdom seems to be that such receivers were sub-contracted and produced at St. Etienne. Then why are SO FEW marked with the Waa134? Presence of this mark seems to be the exception, not the rule. Most of the milled receiver G43's I have seen lack this mark. I know the earliest AC coded guns had the cosmetic milling.
Is it possible that many...most...ALL of the milled receiver guns without the Waa134 were produced at one of the Walther facilities?
