Massive massive Flag

This flag came out of a Members of the Tin Hat veterans hall in Springs, South Africa.

It is huge. Roughly 14’ by 23’.
Based on my research, it’s the second largest surviving flag. Theres on larger battle ship flag known.
And there’s longer banners, for for flag style…this seems like the penultimate flag.

It could be from a ship, or harbour as these were flown in size there but also, the dimensions of circle to red seems to correspond with aerial recognition flag as well. But it’s speculation. Maybe an HQ banner or a party building. Maybe someone knows more.

Regardless it’s almost certainly an Afrika or Italy capture. Shows signs of use.

Just an impressive bale of cloth.

If i remember correctly, i saw a huge flag posted by you in the past. Is this the same one?
I had a large RKF, but not this large. It was about 11x17’

I recall seeing an image one time at least 10 years ago, and it was a flag draped over a single story house. But have never seen the image again. Was a modern image.

the hoisting edge and construction will tell you alot of where this flag was used. Is it a naval flag ? The party flag is used in the front and the Kreigs banner in the rear.

There are several flags in museums in Paris (they were used on buildings):

But not as big as this one.
The first one is 1.7 meters by 1 meter. Second, 2.8 meters by 1.2 meters

It has no “ropes” only a sleeve for a rod, so maybe still Aerial record banner, or building banner. I have searched most of the common forums and google for a long time and not found one exactly the same.

I’ve got a large third Reich hunting association banner around here somewhere…it’s really neat..I got it for a table cover or hunting display at a show if I ever get around to setting up one day 😂

It would be extremely rare! The one this size in RKF has none known, and the size above has one known, and the size right below is not too rare but still huge.
It was spread out on the floor in an upper floor of the building. I'll go through my old phones and see if I have any pics.
