German? Artillery shell

Hello, wasn't sure if I should have posted here in this section, so if the mods want to move the post to the appropriate section please do.

I purchased an artillery shell casing at an antique store today. My thought is that it is german but not sure. I thought the price was decent at $40.
I tried to look for information on it, but I didn't find really what make it is or size. It is about 22 3/8" long and about 3 1/2" at the shell opening. Thought I would see if someone here might have some information or point me in the right direction. Thanks

it's an 8,8 cm Flak case made in 1934. You got it for a good price.
Agreed German 88 Flak, as can be determined by the percussion primer as opposed to an electrical primer.
Thanks guys. Appreciate the information. I was pretty sure it was german, just needed that confirmation. I did not know the year though. So I'm happy that I posted it here for the experts to look at it. Thanks again.
