Sorry for the poor quality of most of the pictures. This is a vet brought home rifle that was donated to a local museum. Great that it is on display.

The curve on the back of the receiver is gone as is the safety notch

You cannot see it in the picture but the optical rail does have the locking notch

Rock Island estimates this to sell between 13-19k? Parts kits bring that now. We’ll see.

Indeed. I'll be watching that MP43/1 too. When I bought my MP43/1 it went for substantially less that the MP44 that was selling right behind it. The MP44 had bring back info (some officer sent it home) and some owner history and drew way more attention. I just dropped a very fair early bid on the MP43/1 and let it ride. It sold for an amazing $19k less than the MP44. In reality, less the bring back info, the MP43/1 is a far less common rifle.

$19k less is a damn fine deal, congrats. Shame most people can't even begin to afford these with the way prices are now.
