I noted how quickly they transitioned the 'bolt cage' from bar stock to machined forging. Transformative design for sure.

There was one owned by a private collector in the pittsburgh area iirc. No idea if they’re still around or what happened to the gun.
 
I believe the Haenel weapon was owned by Washington, Pa collector Louis Pacilla who passed away in 2009.

Yes there are a few, some in museums and a couple in private ownership. I know at least one was exported back to Europe
 
Regarding the grip, I’ve always wondered what the story was behind that. With such clear similarity, it doesn’t seem like a coincidence and one must have been copied from the other. I’m just not sure why?
