Taking controls turret off a CZ Jena scope to slide into/out of rings. Also, operating the scope, how to?

Two questions.

One, are there instructions around on how to take the turret off? I don't need to disassemble the whole scope, just take the turret off so I can slide the claw mount ring of the scope and then mount it with the repro rings. For mounting to solid rings, I'll do the Loctite approach, not solder. You can see the old claw mount between the turret and forward HT mount.

Second question. How does the range adjustment work on this scope? How do I center that. I want to know what I'm doing before I start turning knobs and perhaps break things by forcing them too far.

Can you remove the screw in the claw ring and spread it?

Sure, but It would destroyu the claw mount ring, and I will still need to remove the turret if I want to mount the scope in closed rings set that I want to use eventually on this rifle.

Thanks, this was very useful, got the scope apart , took the ring off, and scope is back together .
