Mike and I have decided to add Stephan Hansen to the authorship team for the Karabiner Addendum.
Stephan was indispensable in research for Volume II and he will be adding his incredible research to the next phase of the Karabiner project.
While his contribution to Volume II cannot be underestimated, we felt it that with all the new groundbreaking material he has researched over
the last few years that it would be prudent to make him an official part of the team.

I for one am grateful that he has graciously accepted!

YAY!!! :D can't wait for future updates on the book and a release date. Late nights ahead of endless reading!!! This is gonna be awesome.

Very pleased to hear of this as an official announcement now too. Looking forward to this upcoming book (any ideas on how the title will be as of now?) and I know I promised @Stephan98k pictures of a few more rifles for the publication. Also have a stash of a few hundred pages period documents on sniper rifles/scoped rifles in my office that I yet have to digitalize and to supply to him.

I would like to book Karabiner
have you need money ???? for reservation of 3 exemplar
I live on France

I musta missed an earlier announcement -- what will the addendum be covering? I thought you guys were done -- so good to hear there's more to come.

The 'addendum' title is just a generic term until we finalize a working title.
This final book in the Karabiner series will have much of the research that Stephan Hansen has been working on including revised Gustloff material, stock glue and supplier data, a more detailed look at Kriegsmarine weapons, and additional examples of rifles that showed up that deserve review. Also, additional German sourced information covering logistics, material, effects of the war on production, additional sniper data, and so on.

This will be a multi year project so don't expect a new book next month...lol.
Would be nice to have it completed by the end of 2025 so for now that is our target.

Exciting news! I am looking forward to the addendum. Stephan seems to have a lot of interesting information to share.

What about "Vol. IV - What we forgot in Vol. I, II and III" :)
Or what wasn't known! The first three were an evolution and generally improved as the volumes advanced; the story of the military modell98 is evolving and Jon Speed and Stephan are the finest collectors out there, V4 will be a must buy!

I’m excited for this as well! Hopefully we can get the matching numbers to the rest of the set otherwise it will drop the value of the complete set in half like a bolt m/m.
