qve45 4181f Milled Action Cover

Bought this out of the woodwork recently after being on a couple year long abstinence of purchasing G43s.

This one really checks all the boxes with the milled action cover, untouched stock, original to the rifle sling, mount, and manual in the butt.

The mount is kinda interesting as it has an over stamped final digit. Depending on how you look at it it may be a ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘7’, or ‘4’.

The mount came with the rifle and in the crappy show lighting it looked as if it possibly matched the rifle.

That’s really nice! One of the last ones made.

According to my serial number listings…..here’s where your rifle stands as far as the known ones out there:

K.43 qve45 #3954f (also has a milled bolt action cover)
K.43 qve45 #4181f (yours)
K.43 ac45 #4589f (1st recorded K.43 ac45 f block)

So yours is right before BLM started cranking out the Walther receivers that they received when Walther Neuengamme was evacuated.

That’s pretty cool!

I have K43 QVE45 7213 F (fully matching, milled housing, and w/laminated hand guard).

That’s very neat. I knew mine was somewhere around the Walther receiver guns, but didn’t know it was that close!

Yep….like right there at it. But who knows, someone may report another one closer in the future but right now yours is it before the Walther receivers.

Congrats on picking up such a nice late rifle, especially being near the very end of production. Gives me hope that there's still good ones out there to be found, especially after seeing such a poorly sanded bcd G43 yesterday.

Yep, I am going to throw a rough estimate out there that at least 80% or so of these rifles have been jacked with in some way. At least that’s my conclusion from doing my serial number listings on all three manufacturers of these. Terrible shame. Thank the Lord they didn’t jack with the pistols in that high ratio.

hard to say what's up with the mount ? But clearly pantograph with the proper serial #. That mark looks like a stamp but for what ? A non issue really.
These last run BLM's are very hard to find. Most have the Zf4 marking in the wood also.

I read about a ZF4 K43 marking on the stock , may I know more about it? Any image? Thanks!

Some of the the late QVE 45 snipers had the stock marked "Zf4 K43" stamped on the right side of the stock below the scope rail. This is by no means common. To date this is only found on the late BLM sniper rifles. We don't know the exact reason why. Perhaps to insure that if the rifle lost it's scope at some point it would be known that it was issued with one.

Exactly, a trait that late BLM snipers have. Not all BLM rifles. The scope on Mike's rifle is not matching to the rifle.

Cool rifle...the late DUV and QVE rifles are always interesting to me, as BLM doesn't seem to have foregone their manufacturing processes despite the inevitable.

here's a better photo of a qve45 with ZF marked stock .. The old theory was that rifle's that passed the accuracy test and were slated as sniper received these stock markings. This was a very shorted lived feature @ BLM.
