DK Production MP44

Will open a few missing pre-orders for batch 2 soon. Only about 5-6 places. Then we will open for batch 3 which will be much bigger. There is a long waiting list waiting for me to open the pre-order checkout. Some guns are going out soon to some dealers that ordered early and got some guns on this first batch
Please keep me posted,

I've bought a bunch of parts from you guys in the past and look forward to a complete gun.

The H18/SVD is a terrible looking rifle. It looks way different from an original SVD. And they are available again, so not sure why are you saying they are limited production run.

Not many were built to begin with. If memory serves right, Atlantic bought what was left in the import, and is just releasing them slowly.

Artificial scarcity to a degree, so they do not "flood the market." Same thing with JDI, who imports "minimal" SG55X guns, and then sells them as expensive as he does.

HD-18s are basically SVDs, you just need to swap the furn and the front break. If you do that, you got a 1990s-era SVD fit for the Chechen war. Not everyone's taste, but I won't deny the sporter furniture looks bad.

The HD-18 is 1500-1800 Euros in Hungary - easy to export with the right contacts there, they even will help you to a degree.
Importation into the US is trickier.
Hence the huge laser engraving that says, MADE IN HUNGARY on the receiver, lol.
A few have been held up even with a properly executed form 6.

I thought the same thing on how accurate it might, or might not be, but I’ve been surprised on how accurate this rifle actually is. and the trigger pole is better than pretty much all the rifles I own except my barrett.
For a stamped sheet metal rifle the Germans definitely got it right. My only complaint on the whole rifle is that the hand guard does get hot after 30 rounds. I was able to mitigate it with using some stick on exhaust heat shield that I applied to the inside of the hand guard and then poked holes through it, where the heat vents are definitely helps.

Back when I had a class 3 Mp44 I noticed this with the handguard. After 30 rounds of full auto, the heat came through those little vent holes very fast, almost instantly

I hope PPU comes out with ammo for it
PPU has been making it and I've bought quantities in the past. It is one of the calibers they run once a year or so, depending upon demand. Like mostpeople said, you just have to check distributors. I've found those who usually carry the oddball/older calibers are the best bet.
