DK Production MP44

Yes I plan to shot mine with a repro mount. I know it’s not going to be super accurate but I don’t care. Just like the look of it.

And you may not have to wait 2 years if you can find a dealer who has them.
I thought the same thing on how accurate it might, or might not be, but I’ve been surprised on how accurate this rifle actually is. and the trigger pole is better than pretty much all the rifles I own except my barrett.
For a stamped sheet metal rifle the Germans definitely got it right. My only complaint on the whole rifle is that the hand guard does get hot after 30 rounds. I was able to mitigate it with using some stick on exhaust heat shield that I applied to the inside of the hand guard and then poked holes through it, where the heat vents are definitely helps.

And just like that..they are out of stock. I seriously was going to purchase one yesterday, and they were already gone.

Just out of curiousity, what are the over and unders on what this will do to the price of the original 200 or so that were imported? Will they become $6200 guns like the ones being sold, or will the new ones work their way up to that price point? My guess is they will lower the price of the original imports.

Expect dealers to mark these up past the $6200 entry fee. Same happened with the original ptr44’s. Those should now be back down to these values, but these won’t be $6200 in the secondary market - and I’d venture a guess you’ll be hard pressed to get any direct with dealers lining up and driving prices up in a limited production rifle.

This will be the exact same thing as the HD18/SVD imports from Hungary.

Here’s the difference though: the HD18/ had a limited production number. I doubt, or atleast have not heard of DK making the StG-44 series a limited production gun. Those were around 200~ if I remember correctly, and I was even offered one of them. They’ll always be high purely due to the ban, along with the fact that it was limited to begin with. If DK isn’t the same, this’ll actually be great for the common shooter/collector.

Eventually once more hit the market, hopefully they’ll become stable. No reason for a production gun, if consistent, to eventually be worth more than a new one. Best example of this is the Hellion/VHS2, which were at 2000 for a month then dropped to dealer cost lol.

Let’s hope for our sake you are correct.

The H18/SVD is a terrible looking rifle. It looks way different from an original SVD. And they are available again, so not sure why are you saying they are limited production run.

dingo,

I see out of stock (as everyone else does),

Are you still taking the deposits for the next batch? if so, what is the process as I want to be in line.

Will open a few missing pre-orders for batch 2 soon. Only about 5-6 places. Then we will open for batch 3 which will be much bigger. There is a long waiting list waiting for me to open the pre-order checkout. Some guns are going out soon to some dealers that ordered early and got some guns on this first batch
