What are these rifles worth in what I would grade as good or better for an antique! All matching original configuration, excellent bore! Nice clean example. Sorry I don't have pictures.

Thanks for the help!

It's hard to say without pictures, a lot of the value Depends on if the stock has been refinished at some point or sanded if it has value drops 50%. Amberg is the most commonly came across manufacturer of the 71 rifles. So that doesn't add value to this rifle you are talking about. But if it's unit marked that would add value to it. I would probably say without pictures I would say anywhere between $500-$1300. I paid $700 for my 71 Amberg years ago which is Bavarian unit marked if that gives you a idea. Sorry I can't be more helpful

That's helpful. I don't own the rifle yet but will have a chance to buy it for $1000. Just trying to figure out if that's a deal or not. Good wood and stock markings, brass trigger guard, all matching with cleaning rod. I don't recall seeing any unit marks on it.

Thanks

Finish and condition also play into it. I wouldn't pay $1, 000 for an Amberg that didn't have decent finish left on the barrel and crisp stock markings.
