Interesting that the next serial number has a barrel with a lower number. My barrel has the markings facing down.
Nice looking one. I wonder what the marking is on the front of the front sight base? The barrel looks right for a byf, it was just made 1 year before the receiver. It could have been sitting around in a shop. Barrel marking looks just like my byf.

Question, it’s missing a sight hood and a cleaning rod, I know it had a 12.5 inch rod and a sight hood.
