    Not to pile on, but the entry part of any post is the title. A strong assertion “stone mint / unfired” creates an expectation. If that assertion is incorrect, members will chirp.

    The recoil lug’s rivet like end (left) side has lost its blue. It’s the “high” spot that gets zipped if “something” gets dragged across the wood. Sandpaper is the extreme example of that “something”. Could be steel wood or other in this case.

    Original firing proof stamps. These guns were tested with hot ammunition (firing proofs rds), and if they didn’t fail, were stamped to signify they were good (hence, fire proofed)
